Greet using a handshake, with direct eye contact, and a smile.
Address people with their title and surname, at the beginning.
When invited to a Lithuanian's home, it is appropriate to bring wine, flowers, or sweets for the hostess. And the gift is usually opened when the person receives it.
Make sure to give an odd number of flowers.
When giving flowers remember the following:
- white flowers are given for weddings
- chrysanthemums are for funerals
Toasting is initiated by the host and usually it's with hard liquor like vodka. Feel free to give a toast sometime during the dinner.
